Admissions

Our Playgroup offers education and care for children from the age of 2 to school age. The Playgroup is registered with Ofsted to take up to 20 children per session. The Playgroup is registered with BANES Council to provide Nursery Education for 3 and 4 year olds who receive funding.

When we receive your enquiry we will invite you to make an appointment to visit the Playgroup, as we feel it is important that you meet us and have an opportunity to see what we do.

Children and their parents/carers are encouraged to visit the Playgroup prior to starting. Please contact the Play Leader to arrange a suitable time. Parents can accompany their child until they have settled in. Prior to your child starting playgroup you will be given the Prospectus / Parent Handbook and asked to complete a Registration Form and an All About Me form. These forms need to be returned to the Playleader before your child starts playgroup.

We are registered with Ofsted and are regularly inspected by them. In the last inspection Ofsted judged us to be good and said:

The needs of all children are met by calm, friendly staff who welcome children to the playgroup with activities in place for them to start playing as soon as they arrive. There is positive interaction between the staff, parents and children, which supports the children's learning and development well and children's behaviour is good as a result. The quality of the children's care, and their transitions to school life, is enhanced through the positive working relations formed with the primary school.
